Ronin Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition woodblock prints by Gashu Fukami. Gashu is a Kyoto artist who has studied in the United States at the Boston Arts Studio as well as in Tokyo and Kyoto where he has had multiple one man exhibitions. Gashu’s prints are an intriguing blend of contrasting shapes, colors and forms. Whimsical in concept, strong in design and bold in color they make the familiar look uncanny, and even the ordinary becomes mysterious.

The three magical subjects in Japanese art are snow, rain and moon. Ronin Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of over 45 woodblock prints from the 19th and 20th centuries portraying spring rain. Some of the artists represented are Hiroshige, Kuniyoshi, Hasui and Koson. The prints have been specially priced for this exhibition.

In celebration of our 35th Anniversary Ronin Gallery is pleased to present Hiroshige’s 36 Views of Fuji. This series was Hiroshige’s last work before his death. All of the prints are from the first edition and are beautifully printed, distinguished by their sharp impressions, careful gradation of colors and visible wood grains.
