Kozaki’s prints are lighthearted and fun. They juxtapose a rather simple, whimsical illustration of an owl, cat, frog or traveling monk with a humorous poem or verse. Kozaki Kan was born in 1942 in Kumamoto Prefecture. He graduated from the Pacific School of Art and in 1978 and 1979 won the grand prize at the Nichido Exhibition. He is very well known throughout Japan and Nagasaki has a museum devoted to his works. The prints are specially price for this exhibition from $120 to $250.
