  • GAKUSAI (1899 - 1992): Also known as Akusui Ide, he was born in the Yamanashi prefecture and studied Japanese painting with Yamanouchi Tamon and Araki Kanpo. He resided in China from 1929 to 1946 and following World War II, focused on woodblock printing. Gakusui specializds in bird and flower prints published by Watanabe Shozaburo.
